Objectives
To examine the longitudinal impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic response on child and youth mental health trajectories and access to care among children, youth and their caregivers in Ontario.
Methods
A longitudinal study of a representative sample of 1,200 children and youth aged 4-17 years and their primary caregiver, assessed at 5 distinct points throughout various phases of the pandemic in Ontario.
Implications
This study will serve as a foundation for comprehensive, integrative knowledge-translation efforts that support evidence-informed policymaking by engaging policymakers, stakeholders, researchers, and citizens.
