Information Box Group
Objectives
To work with youth and experts to co-create a set of constructs, measures, and processes for measurement in school mental health care.
Methods
A series of focus groups and surveys to gather feedback from youth grades 5-12 and school mental health experts about:
- What to measure (i.e., what questions should clinicians ask students)
- How to measure (i.e., what tools clinicians should use)
- When to measure (i.e., when these tools should be filled out), and
- How to use the information from the measures (e.g., how clinicians can share and talk
about the scores with youth).
Implications
The evidence from this study will serve as a foundation for implementing measurement-based care in school mental health services in ways that are meaningful to youth and clinicians.
