Objectives
To estimate the prevalence and distribution of child and youth mental disorders in Ontario; to examine socio-contextual determinants of child and youth health; and to examine patterns of mental health service access and delivery.
Methods
A provincial, cross-sectional, epidemiologic study of child and youth health, inclusive of physical, mental and neurodevelopmental health. The sample includes 6,537 households with 10,802 children and youth aged 4-17 years.
Implications
The 2014-2015 OCHS was designed to inform policies and programs supporting the health and well-being of children, youth, and their families.
