Developing a Set of Constructs, Measures, and Processes for School Mental Health Interventions

Information Box Group

Objectives

To work with youth experts by experience and experts by profession to identify constructs, measures, and processes for measurement-based care in schools.

Methods

A series of focus groups and surveys to gather feedback from youth grades 5-12 and school mental health experts about:

  1. What to measure (i.e., What constructs are most relevant to measure?)
  2. How to measure (i.e., What instruments are best suited to assess these constructs?)
  3. When to measure (i.e., When and how often should measures be administered?); and
  4. How information from measures should be shared back (e.g., frequency, visualization, interpretation?)

Implications

This research will develop consensus on a core set of constructs, measures, and processes for measurement-based care in school mental health settings.
