We’re Hiring: Research Coordinator

The Advancing Youth Mental Health (AYM) research team at the Offord Centre for Child Studies, led by Dr. Kathy Georgiades, is committed to improving child and youth mental health and reducing inequities in access to effective mental health care through integrated mental health science, policy and practice.
AYM is seeking a highly motivated, full-time Research Coordinator (I) to support a CIHR-funded national longitudinal study on child and youth health, mental health and access to care in Canada and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic response on Canadian children, youth and their families.

The Research Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Communication and engagement with researchers, policy partners, community organizations, and governmental collaborators
- Leading development of knowledge translation and knowledge mobilization products and processes related to the team’s community engagement and partnerships, and the scientific contributions of those aspects of our projects and grant applications
- Establishing, recruiting, and overseeing community advisory groups with youth, caregivers and community partners
- Organizing and facilitating large meetings with interdisciplinary collaborators from academic-research institutions, federal policy partners and national community organizations for children, youth and their families
- Conducting literature reviews, write sections of scientific papers, funding proposals, and abstracts
- Coordinate the activities of research staff and resources to ensure that the project progresses in accordance with timelines, in addition to developing estimates of time and resources for research projects
