AYM Trainee Successfully Defends MSc in Health Research Methodology

Congratulations to Ryan Miller, who has successfully defended his MSc in Health Research Methodology!

Ryan joined the AYM team as an MSc student in September 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Kathy Georgiades after earning a BSc in Life Sciences from Queen’s University. His MSc work explored associations between receipt of the Canada Recovery Benefit and mental health in Canadian parents and their children.

As a part of his thesis, Ryan presented at the 2025 Canadian Research Data Centre Network conference in Ottawa and is planning a journal publication.

Ryan is grateful for mentors who have provided him with guidance throughout his degree, including Drs. Kathy Georgiades, Arthur Sweetman, Julia Abelson, and Eric Duku.
