AYM Team Presents at the 2025 SSERC

Recognizing AYM member, Dr. Katherine Cost, who presented at the 2025 Swiss Society for Early Childhood Research Conference (SSERC) in Basel, Switzerland between January 21-22, 2025. The SSERC’s 6th annual meeting’s theme was “Growing up in the digital Age.”

Katherine was a keynote speaker at the conference. Her presentation, entitled “From Growing the Digital World…To Growing Up in the Digital World” explored the history and development of communications technologies, as well as the potential and realized benefits and harms associated with media technology use by children and parents. Specifically, she discussed the ways in which parent and child media technology use impacts child behaviour, and considered how media technology conversations to improve child wellbeing can occur in families, clinical settings, research methods, and policy development.
